Shia Political Geography in Today’s World to Be Discussed

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In a forum to be held tomorrow, October 5, Shia Political Geography in today’s world will be discussed.  The session will be held from 10 to 12 A.M by the Islamic World Cultural Studies Department of the Art, Culture and Communications Research Center.  Seyyed Abbas Ahmadi, lecturer at the University of Tehran and an expert in political geography will be the chief speaker at the forum.  He has written a book on the issue titled “Iran, the Islamic Revolution and the Shia Geopolitics.”  The center also held a forum last month under the title of “Shia-phobia and Strategies to Combat It” in which Hojat-ol-Islam Akbari, an advisor to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization gave a speech  Origins of Shia-phobia and the intellectual frameworks dominating it, role of some groups inside the Islamic world in spreading Shia-phobia and role of the West in Shia-phobia were among the topics of discussion in the forum./129
